Bibliography Gifting (aka book review)-The Perfect Investment by L. Carlos Lara

If you are wanting to learn about the Infinite Banking Concept, you have to read, Nelson Nash's Becoming Your Own Banker. It's the "Bible" for the infinite banking concept (IBC). After that though, most people will want to learn more and need to learn more if they want to start practicing IBC. The Perfect Investment by L. Carlos Lara is one of the best books for a deeper and more thorough look into IBC. The book is a compliation of articles that Lara wrote for the Lara-Murphy Report which he launched in September 2010 with economist Robert Murphy. It is split into two parts.

The first part is Infinite Banking Specific and the first chapter called, The Perfect Investment is worth the price of the book. The first part includes discussions on how IBC could help curb inflation if more people adopted it, how to use IBC as a tax strategy in business and when to pay cash or use a policy loan. All very helpful things to know for anyone using IBC and teaching IBC.

The second part is to me even more fascinating. Perhaps because I have been practicing IBC for 5 years now and have learned much about using my policy, I found the first part a good review. The second part though was all about the insurance industry and in particular the history of mutual insurance companies. Since, proper IBC use requires you to use a dividend paying, whole life insurance policy from a mutual company, it's important to know why. Lara delivers.

He explores thoroughly the history and financial strength of mutual insurance companies. He also shows you the regulations placed on the insurance companies, why it's a good thing, and why Nelson Nash said a dividend-paying, whole life insurance policy with a mutual company is the only way to do IBC effectively.

If you, like most people, have been taught that whole life insurance is the worst place to put your money, then this book, I think will go a long way towards, helping you reconsider that. Or if you are someone that already practices IBC, you will also gain great insight into IBC and whole life insurance, the platform for IBC. I highly recommend reading this book.
