On Discovering the Infinite Banking Concept
I still consider my discovery of the Infinite Banking Concept as one of my most imaginative discoveries.
Five years ago, I ran my own window cleaning business and I had to spend $1000 for some equipment. After I paid for the new equipment, I realized that the cash I just spent was now gone for ever. True, I would be able to make more money with the new equipment that I purchased but that $1000 was gone for good. It made me wonder, “What if there was a way to start my own “bank”? I’d want to be able to deposit my profits from my business in the “bank” and then when I needed money for the business, I could loan that money to the business and then pay off the loan to my ‘bank’”. This would turn the flow of money back towards something I owned and help me to keep the money I worked hard to earn. Unlike what happened with the purchase for the new equipment. So I googled the concept.
I scrolled through several pages before I saw a page about becoming your own banker and clicked on it. It took me to http://infinitebanking.org where I started to read about the book, Becoming Your Own Banker by Nelson Nash. After reading the summary, I bought the book. A few days later it arrived and I read it twice the first day (it's only 92 pages). I couldn’t believe that my idea existed. There was a way to do what I wanted to do. It also worked better than I could have hoped.
